Now Hiring: Full-Time Bookkeeper

King's Ace Hardware – Billings, Montana

King's Ace Hardware is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Full-Time Bookkeeper to join our team. This position plays an important role in managing the day-to-day accounting functions for our five store locations.

We are looking for someone who is organized, accurate, trustworthy, and able to work independently in a small office environment.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities include:

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions for five store locations
• Process accounts payable and vendor invoices
• Maintain customer accounts and process accounts receivable
• Prepare customer statements and post customer payments
• Prepare daily deposits
• Reconcile purchase orders, invoices, bank accounts, and credit card transactions
• Process payroll and payroll-related transactions
• Post journal entries and maintain accurate accounting records
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Handle confidential payroll, employee, and financial information with discretion
• Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as needed

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or retail back-office experience
• A strong understanding of bookkeeping and basic accounting principles
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• The ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet software
• Excellent communication skills
• A high level of professionalism and confidentiality
• Retail experience is preferred but not required

Some college coursework in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or a related field is preferred.
