As a Server, you are the face of the café and marketplace, delivering thoughtful and efficient service while supporting daily operations with care and attention to detail. Your role is essential in ensuring every guest feels welcomed, supported, and well cared for. All roles at Under-Study are flexible and team-oriented. We support one another, step in where needed, and take pride in creating exceptional experiences together.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and engage guests with warmth, providing knowledgeable and attentive service
• Anticipate guest needs and proactively offer assistance
• Share the story behind our curated products and partnerships
• Maintain familiarity with café, beverage, and retail offerings, including ingredients and dietary considerations
• Demonstrate general wine knowledge and uphold service standards
• Accurately take orders and operate the TOAST POS system
• Prepare, deliver, and pack orders with accuracy and care
• Complete opening and closing duties
• Maintain clean and organized guest-facing spaces
• Follow operational standards and communicate restocking needs
• Collaborate with team members to support smooth daily operations

Requirements

• 1+ year of retail, cashier, or hospitality experience
• Food Handler’s Certificate
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and team-focused

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
