Position Compensation

• Salary: Approximately $100000$200000 annually depending on educational credentials experience and overall qualifications. The family is willing to pay a premium for exceptional talent.

The Ideal Candidate

A private family is seeking an exceptional Private Educator/Nanny to provide individualized homeschooling support and attentive childcare. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background experience developing personalized learning plans and the ability to make learning engaging structured and effective.

The family is looking for someone who can take ownership of the homeschooling process rather than simply supervise online coursework. They would like a candidate who can assess the childrens needs develop an educational strategy and curriculum and provide structured instruction across core subjects including math science English and social studies.

The ideal candidate will also enjoy working with children outside of formal lessons and be comfortable transitioning into a more traditional nanny role once the educational portion of the day is complete.

What Works Best for the Family

The family is seeking a full-time live-out position approximately 40 hours per week Monday through Friday. The homeschooling and structured educational portion of the role is expected to take approximately 2025 hours per week likely concentrated in the morning for approximately four to five hours per day.

The remaining hours would involve nanny responsibilities including childcare activities routines and general support for the children. The exact schedule will depend on the candidates educational approach and the familys needs.

The family would ideally love to find one exceptional candidate who can successfully combine private education and nanny responsibilities.

Occasional overnight care and family travel will possibly be part of the position once the family and candidate have established a comfortable working relationship.

Relocation assistance may be available for an exceptional candidate. The family prefers a live-out arrangement but is open to discussing housing options if needed.

About the Family

• Children: Three children 5 8 and 10 yo
• Current Schooling: The 8 yo attends private school while homeschooling support is needed mostly for the other two children.
• Educational Goals: A structured individualized homeschooling plan with instruction in core academic subjects.
• Pets: None.
• Household Support: The family is also hiring a full-time Nanny/Family Assistant so comfortability working with other staff is needed.

Position Responsibilities

• Homeschooling and Instruction: Provide structured individualized instruction and guidance for the children who are homeschooled.
• Curriculum Development: Develop a thoughtful educational plan tailored to each childs age learning style academic level and needs.
• Core Subjects: Plan and facilitate learning in math science English and social studies with a balanced approach to academic development.
• Educational Strategy: Take the lead in organizing lessons setting goals tracking progress and adjusting the curriculum as needed.
• Learning Activities: Create engaging age-appropriate learning experiences that encourage curiosity critical thinking and a love of learning.
• Nanny Responsibilities: Transition into hands-on childcare activities routines and supervision outside of structured instructional hours.
• Family Communication: Keep the parents informed about progress challenges and educational plans while working collaboratively with them.

Position Requirements

• Education: A degree or substantial professional experience in private education teaching tutoring curriculum development homeschooling is strongly preferred.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to create and implement an individualized learning plan for children. Private school private tutoring homeschool or private family experience is a plus.
• Teaching Approach: Able to independently develop a curriculum and educational strategy rather than relying solely on preexisting online coursework.
• Childcare: Comfortable providing hands-on nanny care outside of formal instructional hours.
• References: Minimum of 2 professional references.
• Background: Must pass stringent background checks upon offer of hire.
• Personality Traits: Patient engaging organized creative energetic professional and adaptable.
• Travel: Must be comfortable with occasional overnight care and family travel.
• Relocation: Candidates willing to relocate may be considered with relocation assistance available for the right person.
