Overview The Loan Servicing Specialist I is responsible for maintaining customer and loan records, processing loan transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting daily loan servicing operations. This role ensures the accurate setup and maintenance of borrower information, timely payment processing, account balancing, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Create and maintain borrower records and related account information within loan servicing systems. Review and validate Beneficial Ownership documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. Follow up with internal partners to obtain required documentation and resolve discrepancies. Reconcile General Ledger accounts related to invoices, payments, and suspense balances. Set up and assess fees associated with invoice processing and loan servicing activities. Review, distribute, and reconcile incoming wire transactions. Process routine loan payment transactions accurately and timely. Perform customer information and non-monetary loan maintenance updates. Complete transaction verification and callback procedures when required. Respond to inquiries from internal business partners regarding loan servicing activities. Prepare management reports related to compliance, account reconciliations, and operational metrics. Perform end-of-day balancing and reconciliation activities. Support additional servicing and operational tasks as assigned. Qualifications Associate degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. Minimum of 1 year of experience in banking, financial services, loan servicing, or a related field preferred. Experience working with loan servicing systems is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build productive working relationships across teams. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
