Due to growth, this multiple physician office is seeking to add another experienced and qualified Medical Billing Specialist. This fast-paced environment is perfect for someone looking for a challenge. The right candidate will be a self starter who has the ability to prioritize, adapt quickly to changes and work from the office (no remote work). This candidate should possess confidence in their abilities, is well organized, and have an exceptional ability to quickly switch away from and back to tasks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the entire billing cycle, from claim submission to payment posting, while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and compliance. You will play a crucial role in our revenue cycle management, acting as a key liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies. We are seeking someone with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of medical coding and billing regulations who is ready to contribute to our success.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit clean claims to various insurance companies either electronically or by paper.
  • Follow up on unpaid, denied, or rejected claims with insurance companies to ensure timely payment.
  • Post payments and adjustments from insurance companies and patients accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, and obtain necessary pre-authorizations for procedures.
  • Handle patient billing inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and set up payment plans when necessary.
  • Ensure all billing activities comply with current healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and other payer policies.
