Job Description

Job Summary:

The Senior Full Stack Software Developer will design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and data pipelines, leveraging expertise in front-end and back-end technologies including NextJS/React.js, Python, .NET Core, and RESTful APIs. This role requires strong architectural skills, hands-on coding proficiency, and experience with AI/ML integration, particularly in computer vision. The developer will collaborate within Agile teams, lead by example, and contribute to technical excellence and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and expand data pipelines involving extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Translate technical system specifications into tested, working applications through detailed programming and unit testing.
  • Resolve and troubleshoot software issues during implementation, conversion, and migration phases.
  • Develop and maintain front-end and back-end components, ensuring integration of UI with RESTful APIs.
  • Design and implement scalable, high-performance web architectures and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.
  • Lead and mentor development team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, business analysts, and UX designers in Agile environments.
  • Participate in architecture and solution design with a focus on security, microservices, and cloud-based systems.
  • Develop AI/ML models and integrate computer vision solutions using frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and OpenCV.
  • Provide post-implementation support and documentation as required.
Required Skills & Certifications:
  • Advanced proficiency in NextJS/React.js including NodeJS.
  • Strong proficiency in modern Python development with proven experience building RESTful APIs using FastAPI.
  • Expertise in .NET Core Services/Web API and C# programming.
  • Advanced knowledge of UI design, responsive design patterns, and testable UI architecture.
  • Experience with web security standards including OAuth2.0, JWT authentication, and session management.
  • Expert knowledge of MS Azure SQL Server including encryption, tuning, and query optimization.
  • Familiarity with Cosmos DB, Redis cache, Azure Key Vault, and container-based deployments.
  • Strong working knowledge of Azure DevOps tools and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Experience in software architecture, including serverless architecture, microservices, and RESTful APIs.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
  • Experience with AI/ML development, deployment, and integration, especially in computer vision.
  • Hands-on experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, and OpenCV for image processing and model evaluation.
  • Knowledge of rapid application development (RAD) methodologies.
  • Experience with middleware, gateways, and product installation scripting.
  • Understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related standards.
  • High-level knowledge of Angular framework and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Java WebLogic, Tomcat, EJB, Servlet technologies.
  • Strong SQL skills with Oracle and SQL Server databases.
  • Experience with REST and SOAP web services.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI fundamentals and mobile platform development.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring staff in technical best practices.
  • Knowledge of application packaging and container orchestration.

  • Ability to work onsite 5 days per week as required.

  • Full-time position with a standard workweek, including onsite presence 5 days per week.
  • May require adherence to Agile sprint schedules and project deadlines.
