Location : This is a hybrid (virtual/onsite) position with required onsite days on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and may be assigned to any Consumers Energy Service Center located throughout Michigan's lower Peninsula. The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance or willing to relocate (relocation package is available for those that qualify).
The Sr GIS Technician is responsible for interpreting construction designs, as-built information, queries/reports and other engineering documents. This position maintains the electric LVD/HVD, gas distribution or gas transmission & storage system location and connectivity data in ArcGIS and/or CAD. This position will use multiple engineering and operating systems including SAP, ArcGIS, SIMS, outage management, MS Office, Power BI to query, QA/QC and collect data to support critical business functions.
