We are currently seeking a Sustainability - Consultant / ESG Data and Evidence Architect to join our team in Noida, Uttar Pradesh (IN-UP), India (IN).

ESG Data and Evidence Architect

Data lineage, carbon attribution, ESG evidence architecture and reporting design

We are seeking an experienced ESG Data Architect to design and implement enterprise-wide ESG data solutions that enable carbon accounting, sustainability reporting, engineering optimization, and regulatory compliance.

The role will be responsible for establishing ESG data models, integrating sustainability data across enterprise systems, enabling carbon measurement, and embedding sustainability insights into engineering, cloud, and operational decision-making.

Design the data and evidence architecture that connects operational, technical, supplier, procurement, cloud, asset, shipment and handover data into a defensible source of truth for sustainability KPIs and client reporting.

Carbon and data architecture

UK sustainability lead, solution architects, enterprise/service architects, bid teams, delivery PMO, data/reporting teams, integration centre teams, procurement, logistics, cloud, AMS and client governance stakeholders.

India-based delivery role with remote collaboration into UK&I pursuit, account and delivery teams. Can be UK-based where direct client architecture workshops are required.

12-15 years in IT, data architecture, solution architecture, enterprise integration or analytics. ESG data exposure is preferred; strong data architecture can compensate where the carbon/KPI method is supplied by the UK sustainability lead.

Prefer 1-3 years in carbon data, sustainability reporting or ESG analytics; minimum requirement is willingness and capability to apply defined carbon/KPI methods. 

Expertise in enterprise data architecture, cloud platforms, GreenOps, data integration, and sustainability analytics

Core responsibilities

• Define end-to-end ESG data lineage from available source systems to KPI reporting, governance packs and assurance evidence.
• Design KPI data models covering environmental, governance and social measures, including source fields, calculation logic, owners, cadence, exceptions and evidence requirements.
• Map relevant data sources such as CMDB, ITSM, ERP, cloud, network, endpoint, procurement, supplier, asset register, service catalogue, BOM, PCF, EPD, LCA, shipment, carrier, packaging, energy, QA/FAT, travel and handover records.
• Create telemetry-to-carbon and activity-to-emissions mapping logic using agreed factors, proxy hierarchy, allocation rules and data-quality controls.
• Define master data, metadata, reference data, data dictionary, reconciliation controls and audit traceability rules for ESG reporting.
• Design dashboard schemas, KPI pack data feeds and reporting views for client governance, internal pursuit reporting and assurance reviews.
• Work with architects and delivery teams to ensure ESG evidence is created during normal delivery workflows rather than reconstructed after the event.
• Support RFP overlays by confirming what can credibly be measured, baselined, governed and reported within the contract boundary.

End-to-end source-to-KPI flow across operational, technical, supplier, procurement, asset, cloud and reporting data.

Boundary, allocation and attribution logic for contract, service, Lot, application, asset, transaction or shipment-level KPIs.

Mapping of each KPI/evidence item to source system, owner, collection frequency, quality rule and reporting use.

Calculation logic converting energy, cloud, shipment, network, application, asset or service activity into ESG KPI inputs.

Data structure and proxy hierarchy for product carbon, embodied carbon and supplier ESG evidence where material.

Logical design for evidence storage, dashboard fields, performance packs, reporting views and assurance retrieval.

Controls for completeness, timeliness, reconciliation, exception handling, remediation ownership and audit traceability.

Required skills and experience

• Enterprise data architecture, solution architecture or data integration background in complex or regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, APIs, ETL/ELT, data warehousing, data lakes, metadata, master data, lineage and data quality management.
• Experience integrating data from CMDB, ITSM, ERP, cloud, procurement, supplier, asset, logistics, network, endpoint or reporting systems.
• Ability to translate ESG and sustainability requirements into source-data requirements, calculation logic, reporting views and evidence controls.
• Working knowledge of carbon accounting, Scope 1, Scope 2, Scope 3, GHG Protocol and sustainability KPI concepts is preferred.
• Strong documentation skills: architecture diagrams, data dictionaries, evidence maps, calculation playbooks and dashboard specifications.

Enterprise data models, SQL, data warehouses, data lakes, APIs, ETL / ELT, master data management, data catalogues and lineage tools.

CMDB, ITSM, ERP, procurement, supplier systems, asset registers, service catalogue, shipment records, carrier reports and handover repositories.

PCF, EPD, LCA, emissions factors, carbon boundaries, Scope 1-3 inputs, energy and logistics activity data.

Power BI, Tableau or equivalent dashboard tooling; ESG platforms such as Microsoft Sustainability Manager, SAP Sustainability Control Tower, Workiva, IBM Envizi or Salesforce Net Zero Cloud where relevant.

Success measures

• ESG KPI data sources are clear, owned, repeatable and capable of being evidenced during client governance reviews.
• Evidence packs can be produced without manual reconstruction of delivery history.
• Data quality exceptions are visible early and are assigned to accountable owners.
• The pursuit team can make credible claims because the underlying data model and evidence boundary are defensible.
