Salary: $80,000 - 100,000 per year Requirements:

• We require you to work on-site in the Indianapolis metro area; this role is not remote or hybrid.
• We expect you to live in metro Indianapolis and be able to commute to our office and client sites.
• We require fluent English and strong written and verbal communication.
• We are looking for real, demonstrable experience across several of the technical areas listed in this role.
• We expect you to be comfortable writing code in at least one serious programming language and working from the terminal.
• We want someone who can honestly assess strengths and gaps, learn quickly, and close skill gaps fast.
• We welcome self-taught engineers, career changers, and early-career candidates if they can show strong practical work.
• We prefer candidates with experience as an MSP systems or network engineer, or a mid-level cloud/DevOps engineer with roughly three to five years of experience.
• We expect valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
• We require an ability to pass background and security checks, with no criminal record stated in the posting.
• We state that applicants must be a U.S. citizen and not require visa sponsorship.
• We prefer a bachelors degree.
• We require at least 1 year of AWS experience.
• We prefer 3 years of IT experience.

• We build and maintain integrations between business systems such as ERP, sales, cloud project management, accounting, legacy platforms, on-premise systems, and Microsoft 365.
• We write production code with idempotency, retry handling, and solid error management for business-critical data flows.
• We translate unclear business requests into working software increments and refine them with users.
• We design, build, and operate serverless-first AWS infrastructure using services such as Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, S3, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, and IAM Identity Center.
• We manage infrastructure as code with Terraform in an AWS Control Tower and Landing Zone Accelerator environment.
• We keep environments secure, observable, and recoverable, with least-privilege access as the default.
• We support replication pipelines built on AWS DMS and change data capture.
• We work with field-level mapping, source-of-truth rules, and conflict resolution so data remains consistent across systems.
• We administer and tune databases including RDS for SQL Server and DynamoDB.
• We build practical production AI solutions using Amazon Bedrock, retrieval-augmented generation, MCP, and Microsoft Copilot in a governed enterprise environment.
• We administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Entra ID across client environments.
• We take escalated tickets through resolution and document fixes to prevent repeat issues.
• We perform hands-on firewall and VPN work, primarily with Fortinet, including rule changes, VPN setup, segmentation, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• We diagnose issues across the firewall, network, servers, and applications to identify where the problem truly sits.
• We support switching and cloud-managed wireless alongside our network engineer.
• We bring network and server telemetry into our AI platform.
• We operate within a regulated client environment and follow audit-grade logging, change discipline, and ISO 27001-aligned practices.
• We participate in after-hours and maintenance-window work as part of a shared escalation rotation.

We are Solvonex, an Indianapolis-based managed IT and enterprise technology provider with a small, fast-moving team where engineers own real problems end to end. Our work includes building a middleware solution with a practical AI layer, along with modern infrastructure and business systems for a live regulated environment. This is a fully on-site role split between our Solvonex office and client sites in the Indianapolis metro area, and we do not offer remote or hybrid work. The salary range is $80,000 to $100,000 per year depending on experience, and bonuses are available. We also offer paid time off.
